About
Marta Cancelliere is a PhD student in Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of Milan. She obtained her master’s degree with honours in Pharmaceutical Biotechnology from the same university in 2023.
She worked at the Laboratory of Cancer Pharmacology at the Mario Negri Institute in Milan, where she completed her master’s thesis and held a research fellowship under the supervision of Massimo Zucchetti and Roberta Frapolli. Her research focused on therapeutic drug monitoring of chemotherapeutic agents used in the treatment of pediatric acute lymphoblastic leukemia. She also contributed to the development and validation of HPLC and LC-MS/MS methods for the quantification of anticancer drugs in both clinical and preclinical settings. This work was carried out in a multidisciplinary environment involving collaboration with physicians and pharmaceutical industry partners.
She joined the De Cola Lab in November 2024 at the beginning of her PhD. Her current research focuses on the development of organosilica-based nanoparticles for siRNA delivery and stimuli-responsive nanocarriers for cancer therapy applications, with evaluation in both in vitro and in vivo models.
