About
Edoardo Sisti was born in Florence, Italy, in 1997. In 2021, he obtained his Master’s degree in Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Technology from the University of Pisa.
In 2025, he completed his PhD in Science of Drug and Bioactive Substances at the University of Pisa, in collaboration with the biotech company UlisseBiomed S.p.A., under the supervision of Professor Eleonora Da Pozzo.
During his PhD, he worked on the design and development of DNA-based biosensors for rapid, single-step detection of monoclonal antibodies, as well as on the development and in vitro and ex vivo characterization of anti-HPV DNA aptamers. He also spent six months as a visiting PhD student at the Medical University of Vienna, under the supervision of Professor Adelheid Elbe-Bürger, where he gained experience in ex vivo skin tissue culture.
In 2024, he moved to Milan to join Professor Luisa De Cola’s laboratory.
